Saw Tooth Oak Tree - Quercus acutissima

Saw Tooth Oak Tree is an incredible tree for numerous reasons. 

To begin with, this tree can grow to a whopping 16"-24" per year, until it reaches its mature height of 40-60 feet.
This plant is loaded with acorns which help wildlife greatly by giving animals, especially turkeys, a source of food. Birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and various other mammals feed off of this tree as well. This tree, because of it's vast spread of leaves, is capable of blocking out massive amounts of sun as well.
To grow this particular tree, the soil should be moist and sandy.
The tree also grows in Hardiness Zones 5-9.

It's super durable and hardy. Never allowing high winds to destroy it. It lives in a variety of zones. This magnificent tree is gorgeous all throughout the year. During spring and summer, it displays a beautiful green canopy as it is covered with broad green leaves that produce and provides an enormous amount of shade for those hope and humid summer afternoons and evenings. During the fall it shows off the colors as the leaves change to beautiful colors such as yellow, orange and red to bring lots of color and brilliance to all locations. This tree can grow to become outstanding and needs lots of room to grow and branch out. It looks fantastic on large lawns as it rises to maturity and also provides an excellent place for squirrels and a variety of birds to play. This tree is a sturdy and hardy tree and can withstand all types of weather conditions. This tree also produces leaves that have ridges along the edges that appear to be small little teeth, and this is where it gets its name.
