Hybrid Poplar Tree - Height Shipped 3 Feet
Hybrid Poplar Trees are Fast Growing and Makes an Excellent Living Fence Tree
Poplar trees are valuable, fast-growing deciduous trees that provide shade, increase wind protection, draw wildlife, stabilize soil, and add height and depth to large-scale landscaping. While there are many native poplar species in North America, cultivated hybrids offer many benefits. Talented developers have crossbred varieties to select for traits such as disease resistance, specific size and shape characteristics, or adaptability to a variety of growing conditions.
Poplar trees have shiny, dark green leaves and full summer canopies that cast beautiful shade on sunny days. In autumn, their color warms to dazzling gold. They tend to grow in overall oval shape and require no pruning to maintain full, dense foliage. Growing three to eight feet yearly to a mature height of 50 to 80 and spreading up to 50 feet, poplar trees are an excellent solution for landscapes in need of deep shade quickly. They also excel at soil stabilization, especially along waterways as the poplar thrives in wet soil, and their root systems help filter groundwater in areas where they are planted. These massive trees create valuable habitat for lots of wildlife both in the canopy and on the ground below, providing roosting space for birds and food and shelter for many species of mammals.
These trees grow well in any soil type and are not sensitive to pH, though they do best in areas where moisture is plentiful. Poplar trees should be placed in areas of full sunlight, and young trees need to be planted with mindfulness of their mature size and spread.
Plant poplar as a single tree to shade a yard or in a group to add privacy and screen against wind and noise. These beautiful trees will add value and enjoyment to your property for years to come in whatever way they fit into your landscape.
