How We Protect Your Plants For Transit
All plants are dug and immediately taken to our warehouse and tera-sorb moisture retention gel is applied to the roots and then wrapped in plastic to retain superior moisture for transit. They are placed in corogated cardboard shipping boxes for protection when shipped
Upon Receipt Of Your Plants
Upon receipt of your plants, unpack and unwrap the roots and mist with water. Plant within 24-48 hours. If you can not plant within this time frame, put your plants in a cool location (ex- basement, garage or cellar) and water the roots daily. Cover them back up with the plastic so they will not dry out until you can plant them. After planted, water every evening after the sun goes down for 5 days.

Despite its name, Nandina is not a bamboo plant. It is a flowering perennial that is easy to grow in any garden. With its tall, slightly curling leaves and bright green color, it is an elegant addition to any garden plot.
Sometimes called Heavenly Bamboo or Sacred Bamboo, this graceful plant is a delight in any season. In the spring, its slender stems bloom with soft, small white flowers. Bees and other pollinators flock to their yellow centers. In the fall, the flowers turn to bright red berries that look striking against the green leaves. These berries attract birds of all kinds.
The leaves also change color. As fall and winter approach, they transform from green to various shades of crimson, purple, and deep orange. If you plant Nandina, you'll have a spectacular display to enjoy every day of the year.
Nandina can grow from four to eight feet tall. It works as a casual, colorful hedge. It is beautiful in borders and beds, where it becomes quickly to spread color and bloom. It is an excellent choice to plant in rock gardens, along stone walkways or on terraces.
Nandina is native to China and Japan. Gardeners in its native countries consider Nandina a lucky plant. Traditionally, they plant it near the home's doorway to bring peace and serenity.
Nandina is easy to grow. It prefers full to part shade but will tolerate shady conditions. It adapts to almost any soil condition. Keep the soil moist and well-drained. It's resistant to disease, pests and is drought-tolerant once it's established. It is best suited for Zones 6 to 9.
