Tall fescue does well across Indiana, Ohio to Texas.
Warm Season Type Grass: These grasses can survive warm and hot summers. However, proper soil conditions need to be met to grow these grasses. If not, unwanted weeds and grass may start growing, and later on, it can be a tedious task to remove them. Some warm season type grasses are Bermuda grass, Buffalo grass, Carpetgrass, Centipede, Bahia, St. Augustine, and Zoysia grass.
These are common types of turf grass that can be grown depending on your area's soil and weather conditions. Rainfall and temperature play an essential role in these grasses, and healthy grass wears vibrant green color. During winters, some of the warm season grasses start to turn brown if proper soil requirements are not met. You can use lawn feeders to keep them healthy and green.
