Purple Violets
Blue Violet Flowers is a native species to the United States and is commonly found in the eastern portion of the country. These plants produce delicate flowers that are a blue or purple color. The colors are quite vibrant and can be seen from a distance. This species is perennial and is a common flower to use in home garden settings. These flowers thrive in colder climates and bloom the best in shaded areas. The blooming season usually lasts for several months between early April and late June. These plants survive best in partially shaded areas but can survive in full sunlight as long as they receive enough water. The best soil for Blue Violets is moist, silty soil.
This flower species is easy to maintain once it is in your garden. Weekly watering should suffice with these flowers, as long as they receive a moderate amount of shade. If you plant this species in full sunlight or live in a hotter or drier environment, then we recommend water more frequently to prevent burning the flowers. With that said, avoid overwater these plants, for they survive best in moist soil but not soggy. Blue Violets are colorful and easy to maintain in your home garden.
