Terrarium Moss thrives in gloomy, moist environmentsand is used in this glass terrarium to provide a better and lively look to the fish tank!

A terrarium is a glass container having mini plants and soil, usually used to keep fish in it. It can be opened to access the plants within for maintenance. However, a terrarium can be open to the atmosphere rather than sealed. Terraria are frequently retained as ornamental or decorative items. The translucent walls of closed terrariums allow both heat and light to enter the terrarium, creating a unique environment for plant growth.

There are 20,000 different species of mosses. The majority of them thrive in gloomy, moist environments. These plants can be used in terrariums and fairy gardens (live plants live moss). People can also find live plants in swampy areas. One of the most frequent plants found in terrariums is Dicranum. They're also known as mood mosses. Plant terrariums always give a vibrant look. These types of plants not just enjoy high humidity but also help to keep it stable. Two types of terrariums exist open terrariums and closed ones.

In a closed terrarium, there will be a water cycle to maintain humidity and temperature. A closed vessel will provide ideal humidity for the moss. You can mix other humidity-loving plants with moss.

Terrarium Moss is ideal for decorating tanks 

This type of plant also necessitates upkeep. There are a variety of issues that can arise while using terrarium moss. One of the most general issues is that the plant changes color. If the plant has turned brown, just cut the brownish area. This plant grows on the margins of pavements, rocks, and bricks, among other places, yet it is frequently disregarded.

You can also find it in a variety of forests and rainforests worldwide.  The growth pattern of such plants are pretty unique. They spread out like a sheet and cover large areas.

It's the most widely utilized and widely accessible carpet moss in terrariums. They are ideal for protecting the soil layer and creating a natural woodland appearance. They are simple to work with. Begin by placing a few sheets around the base, carefully laying them on top of the soil.

It may be beneficial to lightly press them into the substrate to reach the rhizoids (root-like connecting threads). Sphagnum and java moss are other types of plants used in the terrarium.     The moss I received was very nice. They shipped quickly and it was very well packaged. It was nice and green, and stayed moist during travel to CA. I could not be more pleased with my purchase. I will definitely order from TN Nursery again.

    The moss was all mixed in 1 bag, a bit “tangled”, from shipping I assume. It would be nice to have the different classes of moss identified. Due to tropical storm, shipment delayed this a few dry pieces. Ordering was easy and it was shipped out fast.

    A first I was worried that the seemingly fragile grass was damaged in shipping, but I immediately opened the box and followed the growers instructions. Within a few days the plants looked great and have now tripled in size. I plan on buying more

How We Protect Your Plants For Transit

We sell only bare root plants. We dip the roots in tera-sorb silicone gel to retain ample moisture for transit and surround with plastic. This is superior protection for plants in transit for up to 12 days.

Upon Receipt Of Your Plants

Open your plants and inspect the same day received. We offer 3 days to report any problems with your order. Bare root plants need to be planted within 2-3 days of receiving unless weather-related problems prohibit planting. Store in a cool place and keep roots moist and covered with plastic until they can be planted. Water for the first week daily after planting.
