This fast-growing vinca minor plant grows 6 to 9 feet tall and blooms in spring and early summer. The blue, purple, lavender or white blossom has five petals about an inch across. It is a member of the dogbane family and is an essential oil used for fragrance and cooking. It doesn’t require pruning, but if pruning is desired, cut it in half after it blooms.
Water carefully after planting until plants are established, and after that, they don’t require so much water. They are drought tolerant and hardy. They will grow in the shade, partial shade, or full shade and burn in the hot sun.

It takes hold of the trellis without any care. Will grow quite tall, 10 meters. Blooming in late summer and early fall, the blossoms attract hummingbirds. This plant is not touchy about soil and will survive anywhere if there is the sun to partial shade. To keep it under control, it should be pruned in spring but then needs little further care.
These honeysuckle flowers are fragrant and exciting for their many petals of unusual tubular shape. There are many varieties of honeysuckle vines. The flowers are of two colors and open at night for pollination. It needs plenty of suns. The honeysuckle has many proven health benefits, and children like to suck on the flowers for the sweet taste.
