Violet Plants 10 For $27.99 Description

Violet Plants

Purple Violet is a common name for Viola sororia. They have several other common names, including blue violets, sweet violets, wild violets, dooryard violets, etc. They belong to the Violaceae family and are native to deciduous forests. It is also considered an annual plant that can grow up to as tall as 8 inches. It can be an excellent choice for a ground cover, along with many other uses. The most common places for this plant to grow are woods, thickets, and streambeds. Collectively, shadier places are most suitable for this herbaceous plant.

The appearance of this flower is quite eye-catching and pleasant. It grows heart-shaped leaves which makes this flowering plant stand out among others. The leaves are deep-green and grow about 2 to 3 inches tall. Lower leaves form rounded and curvy tips, and the upper leaves have tapered ends. They are hairy along the veins. The stem of the purple perennial is also hairy in structure, but this feature varies. Violets with hairless stems are also standard.

Purple Violets is a moisture-loving plant and thrives in moist and well-drained soil

The flowers of this plant are made up of five petals. The flower grows on a separate stalk connected directly to the root or rhizome. Like its name, its flowers form purple to blue color, which can be named deep violet. The throat of this five-petaled flower is white. The diversity of color this plant shows makes a beautiful contrast. All the colors complement each other. It creates a great combination of light to bright colors.

For their proper growth, purple perennials are recommended to be planted in soil rich in organic matter. It is a moisture-loving plant and thrives in moist and well-drained soil. Partial to entire shade areas are perfect for their plantation or propagation.

It is widely used as a wildflower in lawns and rock gardens for edging and borders. It is a lovely flower choice for people who like growing plants inside their homes as indoor plants. It grows even better in a pot or container. The beautiful purple blooms of this plant change any corner from basic and boring to aesthetically pleasing.

It does not require much sunlight. It makes a perfect indoor plant. All you have to do is water it, and it will grow out ideally. It is considered a low-maintenance plant and does not need regular pruning either. Purple Violets are edible.

They do not only look good but are one of the very few flowers that taste good. Add a small number of its petals to your salad to make it more tasteful. It is also used to make jellies and candies. They have large amounts of Vitamin A and C. This plant serves a great purpose in decorating and garnishing different kinds of meals.

It is easy to grow plants and even easier to maintain. You just have to plant it in rich and moist soil. All it needs is an adequate amount of water, and it blooms into lovely, vibrant colored flowers.
