I ordered 2 in summer of '20 and they arrived as expected in the autumn dormant season (Dec). I overwintered them outside then planted them in good soil in March when the soil thawed. Both are looking GREAT and are growing and looking superb - BRAVO!!!!

Spirea – is a Simple Growing Flowering Plant
Spirea is simple to grow and excellent for foundation planting and hedges. The flowers are often white, but other varieties may also be pink, red, or yellow. The classic bridal wreath spirea may range in growth from ten feet tall to 20 feet wide.
This flowering plant is beautiful and will have tiny white flowers when in bloom. This plant does beautifully when planted in moist and well-drained soils. This plant will give a fantastic look to a garden and also looks great in natural areas. It will also offer significant color during the fall months of the year. Spirea plants are excellent for bringing butterflies to a location. These shrubs grow to become very dense and are very hardy. They can withstand all types of weather conditions during the summer and winter months of the year. They are beautiful and can be trimmed to keep at the desired height around homes and garden areas.
Spirea is a Great Butterfly Attracting Shrub
Planting the spirea is best done in the spring and fall. Add some compost to the soil where you are planting if it isn't the most nurturing soil. Add mulch around the base of the shrub. Watering is only necessary if the rainfall is minimal. The bridal wreath spirea may be pruned and will grow again.
They attract bees and butterflies to their gorgeous dainty blooms during the spring and summer. The flowers appear on these beautiful shrubs in clusters that are created by other small tiny white flowers. These shrubs do not require a lot of maintenance as they grow and become healthy and beautiful. They also make excellent shrubs use to create a natural border between areas. They supply attractive green foliage before the blooms appear and add lots of gorgeous colors and curb appeal as they grow and mature. It is a medium-sized shrub characterized by sprays of white flowers. At maturity, plants may reach four to eight feet tall and four to eight feet wide. Also known by its botanical name, Spiraea prunifolia is considered invasive in some parts of the eastern United States. The shrubs are favorable in areas that deer frequent, and they also attract butterflies. These plants may also be used as a privacy screen.
Known for its arching branches, the bridal wreath spirea becomes leggy and somewhat open as it grows. The shrub's leaves are similar to plants that grow stone fruit like cherries, peaches, and plums. Leaves measure one to three inches in length and are ovate or elliptical. When in bloom, the shrubs have the appearance of a waterfall of cascading white flowers.
Best suited for outdoor areas that receive full sun, this plant will also grow in partial shade areas. When planted together, plants should be amply spaced to avoid crowding. Moist, well-drained soil is most favorable, but the shrubs can also tolerate periods of drought. Plant owners should water their shrubs if the area receives less than one inch of rainfall each week during the summer months.
