Water Lily Pads Plants

A Water Lily Pad Adds Beauty to Fish Ponds

If you are a pond owner and have beautiful fish in your pond, a floating plant with attached roots is a very positive feature of your pond. A water lily pad is ultimately one of the most popular choices by fish pond owners. Since water lily pads have beautiful flowers, they may be the best choice for aquatic plants. The water lily can be put in a pot and positioned at a specific location in the pond. On the pond's surface, water lily pads will decorate the pond and make the pond a beautiful site with beautiful leaves on the surface and beautiful flowers that will provide a special beautiful touch.

Lily Pads - Pond Lily

Lily Pads – Nuphar. – The pond lily is a genus of herbaceous aquatic plants that grow in temperate to subarctic climates. The round leaves are sometimes called lily pads, and both the leaves and the blooms float on the water's surface. The flowers have four to six small yellow petals. Pond Lilies can grow in water up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) deep.

The Pond Lily belongs to the water lily family, Nymphaeaceae.

Researchers have not yet determined the number of species, but the type species is the Yellow Water-Lily (N. lutea). It can be found throughout Canada and the United States.
