Butterfly Weed thrives in well-drained soil with moderate moisture. It should be watered often, particularly during dry spells, but overwatering should be avoided. If desired, prune spent blooms to encourage new growth and prevent self-seeding. Mulching around the base is also beneficial.

I was not sure which end to plant but since Butterfly weed is a tap root I planted the larger fleshy part down. They are all ready putting out green leaves. It is just another ‘I can’t wait to spring’ moment. Quick delivery and love the two for one since I have problems getting this plant to grow in my soil.
