We ship all plants usps priority mail. They arrive to most locations within 2-3 days. We package all plants to retain moisture to up to 10 days in transit. All plants ships from our warehouses in Tennessee. All plants are grown and shipped from out Altamont (zip) 37301 location. We do drop ship for re-sellers also for those wanting to resell our plants.

How We Protect Your Plants For Transit

All plants are dug and immediately taken to our warehouse and tera-sorb moisture retention gel is applied to the roots and then wrapped in plastic to retain superior moisture for transit. They are placed in corogated cardboard shipping boxes for protection when shipped

Upon Receipt Of Your Plants

Upon receipt of your plants, unpack and unwrap the roots and mist with water. Plant within 24-48 hours. If you can not plant within this time frame, put your plants in a cool location (ex- basement, garage or cellar) and water the roots daily. Cover them back up with the plastic so they will not dry out until you can plant them. After planted, water every evening after the sun goes down for 5 days.

Side Oat Gama

Side Oats Gama Grass (Bouteloua curtipendula) is a short prairie grass that is mainly found in areas with a warm climate. Side Oat is essentially a warm-season grass that has greenish blue leaves attached. Side Oat Gama has stems that grow to 2-3 feet sometimes more. Side Oat Gama has what is called spikelets. Nearly all spikelets do contain glum as well as florets. The florets found on the Side Oats are almost always fertile.
Side Oats grow mainly within sandy plains as well as rocky areas. Side Oat is frequently used to feed livestock. Also, Side Oat is also used in erosion control. Side Oat grows best in a moderately textured well-drained soil. If the soil is not well drained, the Side Oat will not rise to full maturity. Side Oats have several uses. For example, they can be used for decorative purposes.

Also, Side Oats Gama Grass can be used as bird food, and it can be fed to mammals.

Side Oat seems to attract a variety of birds as well as butterflies. Side Oats can frequently be found in prairies and have been seen many times around railroad tracks. Some have used Side Oat as turf grass. Also, Side Oat can be mowed and easily maintained. Side Oat can become a decorative arrangement. The plant grows wildly in many of our states. The plant does not need vast moisture needs; it can adapt well to its surroundings. This is a beautiful plant to plant anywhere in your home because it is a perennial and will re-grow every year, so you don’t have to keep on farming. This green plant is very adaptable and can grow almost anywhere This hugely versatile plant will adapt to be ever you need it to develop.

Side Oat Gama grows best in the moist soils near the sea but can adapt to other conditions.
