Muskogee Crepe Myrtle For Sale

Stunning Summer Blooms

The Muskogee Crepe Myrtle is a masterpiece in the landscape, admired for its extended flowering season that can last up to 100 days. From early summer through late into the season, this tree produces large clusters of lavender-purple blooms that bring vibrant color at a time when many other plants begin to fade. The deep purple blossoms attract pollinators and provide a dramatic focal point in any garden or yard.

Year-Round Visual Appeal

While the flowers are the season's star, the Muskogee’s appeal does not end there. Its bark is another highlight, peeling naturally to reveal smooth shades of tan, cinnamon, and gray. Even in winter, the bark creates interest and beauty when the garden is quiet. In autumn, the glossy green leaves transition into glowing tones of orange and red, adding another layer of seasonal charm.

Muskogee Crepe Myrtle Is a  Fast Growing Tree

Fast-growing and hardy, the Muskogee Crepe Myrtle often reaches 20 to 30 feet tall with a broad, vase-shaped canopy. Its upright form provides light shade without overwhelming nearby plantings. This makes it versatile for lining driveways, creating group plantings, or standing tall as a single specimen tree.

Easy to Grow and Maintain

Homeowners and gardeners love the Muskogee not only for its beauty but also for its toughness. Once established, it thrives in full sun, tolerates heat, and handles dry conditions with ease. With minimal care required, this tree provides lasting elegance and reliability without constant upkeep.

A Tree for Every Season

The Muskogee Crepe Myrtle shines every season, from its long summer bloom to colorful fall foliage to decorative bark in the winter months. Plant it in well-draining soil with full sunlight, and it will reward you year after year with unmatched beauty and performance.

How to Grow and Care for Bare Root Trees

Bare root trees are shipped dormant without soil, making them lightweight, cost-effective, and easy to plant during the cool months of early spring or fall. To begin, soak the roots in a bucket of water for 4–6 hours before planting to rehydrate them. Choose a sunny location with well-draining soil and ample space for the tree’s mature size.

Dig a hole twice as wide as the spread of the roots and deep enough to keep the root flare (where the roots begin to spread from the trunk) at or slightly above ground level. Create a small mound of soil in the center of the hole, spread the roots evenly over it, backfill with native soil, and gently tamp down to remove air pockets. Water thoroughly after planting.

Keep the soil consistently moist (not soggy) during the first growing season, and apply mulch around the base—avoiding direct contact with the trunk—to conserve moisture and suppress weeds. Stake the tree if necessary, and prune only to remove dead or damaged branches. With proper care, your bare root tree will establish quickly and grow strong for years to come.
