Golden Fern

Native to tropical and sub-tropical places in the Americas, the Golden Fern occurs only on the eastern sides of the continents, such as in Florida and other eastern states in the Deep South. It also grows down through South America to Paraguay and ranges from deciduous to evergreen depending on rainfall. The Golden fern can grow in dryer climates, as it is highly adaptable and lives its life as a deciduous plant when there is not adequate rainfall. Due to their uniform leaf and bush shape, golden ferns are highly sought after by gardeners, and tonics can brew for a variety of medicinal purposes. From asthma treatments in folk medicine to a modern dermatological tool. Leaf colors of the golden fern range across the spectrum of green. Well, as golden hues, after which the plant named. While it is primarily a tropical plant, the golden fern can be grown and cultivated in non-tropical locations. The temperature where it grows does not fall below 41 degrees Fahrenheit. It is not a hardy plant like a pine tree, but the golden fern is far from being a delicate hothouse flower. With care and attention, golden ferns can thrive in a variety of environments.
