Sometimes A Bean Is A Fruit, And It Tastes Delicious
Though it's a coffee bean, believe it or not, that's a fruit pit you make your morning beverage from. The coffee berry has two stones or "beans" roasted to become what we know as coffee. It takes a bit of patience to grow your coffee tree. It takes them three to five years before they bear fruit.
Your morning coffee
After that, though, they'll create your morning coffee beans for the next ten to twenty years. Coffee grounds are an excellent addition to your pile if you enjoy composting. While Brazil is known for coffee today, it was also known for using the bark of a different kind of tree to brew an unusual liquor in times past. Though you may not want to drink a mimosa bark beer yourself, you can find mimosa trees in our online tree nursery.
