How To Plan Your Landscape
Planning your landscape can seem a bit overwhelming, and at times you might want to throw your hands in the air and be done with it.
But do not worry! First, measure the landscape you have to work with and make a rough draft on paper. Draw out how you want to use it and where things like benches, flowers, and maybe trees will go.
Next, take a look at your wish list. What are some things you have or maybe even some things you need in your landscape? Make sure to prioritize just if you cannot fit everything into the area you have to work with. After this, figure out what your budget is. Make a budget for flowers, one for trees, and one for structures like benches and statues. Also, make sure that you have incorporated things like walkways, benches, sheds, and other structures into your rough draft to make sure you use every part of the landscape that you can in the best way. Also, figure out what kind of sunlight each part of your landscape gets. Which areas are full sunlight, maybe only partially shaded or fully shaded? You also want to figure out what your climate zone or zones are. After you have figured this all out, add the plants, flowers, and trees to your rough draft plan for your landscape. Now it is time to go shopping! Check out local growers and nurseries and compare prices to get the best deal. That will be great in making sure you stay on budget and do not get overwhelmed once you get in the store. It doesn't matter what the budget is or how large your landscape may be; you can meet your goals!
