Plant Reproduction
Northern Red Oak seedlings spread by wind-dispersed acorns and root shoots
Plant seedlings in early spring or fall when temperatures are mild. Choose a well-drained site with the proper sunlight for the tree species. Dig a hole that's deep and wide enough to support but not hamper the root system without bending or crowding the roots. Place the seedling in the hole, ensuring the root collar (where the roots meet the stem) is level with or slightly above the soil surface. Fill the hole with soil, and pack it around the roots to remove air pockets. Water thoroughly after planting and keep the moisture consistent, especially during the first few years, to help the roots establish. Put a 2-4 inch layer of mulch around the base, but keep it away from the trunk to retain moisture and prevent weed growth. Protect the seedlings from pests and physical damage with suitable guards or fencing. Tree seedlings will thrive and grow into strong, healthy trees with proper care.

I cannot say enough how impressed I am with the quality of my trees and the expidiency in which I received them. This is my new favorite nursery. Bonus that they ship to po box since I don't get mail or delivery services being very remote. I will be purchasing more.
I ordered several seedlings last fall and I asked for them to hold them until Feb of this year. I used the chat on the website to let them know I was ready for delivery. The seedlings were at my house the next day via UPS. Seedlings arrived in great condition and I planted them the next day. Great experience.
This is my first order from TN Nursery! So far so good. Will be ordering more in the near future.
Hard to say. They are all dormant. Will have to wait and see how many survive.
I thought that I order a single 3-4 foot red oak tree!I am trying to figure out a way to keep them alive to spring as I have not had a positive experience with planting seedlings in the fall. The seedings look great. I planted the sugar maple tees today, the order arrived late Thursday.
