So I gave the 6 Pack - Pennsylvania Sedge Plugs a try. It was my first time ordering. I’m a native plant gardener and was trying to find a less expensive source for sedges. I received the package and they were in good shape. Everything is coming up great but only one of the plants I received is definitely Pennsylvania sedge. I already have Pennsylvania sedge growing and you can really see the difference in the rest of the plants that were sent. I’m not sure yet what kind of sedge they are (won’t know for sure until they bloom). They are larger, coarser, with thicker bright green leaves. Definitely vigorous, so fingers crossed they are wood sedge or something similar and still native to my region. Since I’m not sure yet whether or not this could be a different kind of good thing or a problem, I’m going with 3 stars for now. It’s hard to tell sedges apart sometimes and if they turn out to be other natives then they were still a bargain.
