November 2025White Pine Tree Seedlings for Sale | Pinus strobus
White Pine Seedlings are tall and wide evergreen conifers used for privacy or living fences. They are characterized by their long, slender needles bundled in groups of five and their straight trunk, which is often used for timber and lumber.
They produce cones to reproduce and make new trees as conifers. For gardeners, it is a popular plant because of its evergreen color. No matter what time of year you look at it, it will always have the same stunning blue-green needles.
Where White Pine Seedlings Thrive | Native Tree Adaptability
This tree was originally native to North America. It can be found in Canada and the United States. One Native American tribe called it the “Tree of Peace.” Because Captain George Weymouth first brought the tree’s seeds to the United States from England in 1605, it was known by the “Weymouth” appellation for many years. Today, this title is still included in one of the tree’s common names.
Evergreen Foliage of White Pine Trees | Blue-Green Year-Round
No matter the season, you can count on this tree being a lovely blue-green color. The needles are arranged in bundles of five and have a deciduous sheath. While the sheath is shed yearly, the needles remain during the wintertime. The tree’s inner bark has a soft, white color that gave it its name.
Interestingly, this tree is also known for its resin. Long ago, the resin was used to make waterproof boats, baskets, and pails for hauling water.
Why White Pine Tree Seedlings Are Perfect for Privacy, Shade & Timber
This lovely tree can be integrated into many different environments. While it is native to the woodlands, you can easily incorporate it into your lawn. Because of its size, it tends to do best in the middle of a wooded area or ample, grassy space. Once you have planted this tree, you can expect it to live for many decades. Usually, these trees live for 200 to 250 years. These long-lived plants can live for more than 400 years in exceptional cases.
White Pine Seedlings is the perfect option for a tall tree you can see from a distance. Many of these trees reach over 100 feet in height. Their dense canopy provides ample shade.

Care
White Pine seedlings thrive in well-draining soil with regular moisture. Keep them watered, especially during dry spells. Provide good airflow around them to control fungal diseases. Mulch the base to maintain moisture and control weeds.

Plant Reproduction
White Pine seedlings spread via wind-dispersed seeds from cones
Plant seedlings in early spring or fall when temperatures are mild. Choose a well-drained site with the proper sunlight for the tree species. Dig a hole that's deep and wide enough to support but not hamper the root system without bending or crowding the roots. Place the seedling in the hole, ensuring the root collar (where the roots meet the stem) is level with or slightly above the soil surface. Fill the hole with soil, and pack it around the roots to remove air pockets. Water thoroughly after planting and keep the moisture consistent, especially during the first few years, to help the roots establish. Put a 2-4 inch layer of mulch around the base, but keep it away from the trunk to retain moisture and prevent weed growth. Protect the seedlings from pests and physical damage with suitable guards or fencing. Tree seedlings will thrive and grow into strong, healthy trees with proper care.
We carefully package every plant to retain superior moisture during transit. Once prepared, orders ship the same day through UPS or USPS, with typical delivery in 2–4 days.
Returns are not accepted, but plants are reshipped if extended warranty insurance was purchased at checkout. Otherwise, all plants include a standard 5-day warranty after delivery.
