Who Is Tammy Sons? TN Nursery
Tammy Sons is the CEO/Founder of TN Nursery in Altamont Tn. She grew up in the nursery industry and enjoys spending time with her family; she is deeply rooted in her faith and loves her work.
Under her leadership, TN Nursery is centered and focused on environmental stewardship and eco-conscious living. Tammy's horticulture background, developed from childhood, has provided her with a wealth of knowledge. Growing up with her father in the native plant nursery business, she has supplied some of the most impressive clientele in the US, including Arlington National Cemetery, Kluge Estate and Winery, and the Washington Monument.
Discovery Channel did a time-lapse photography on how a tree loses dormancy in early spring and the tree buds, then leafs out. Kerry Stark utilized plants from TN Nursery for this time-lapse photography.

Tammy offers her horticulture knowledge to prominent media outlets and has been interviewed by New Channel 5, Fox News, and many other outlets, including Better Homes and Gardens, Martha Stewart, Pioneer Woman, Southern Living, Forbes, and Newsweek. She is also listed in Forbes Expert Panels and Newseek.
Tammy has written many publications for Forbes, Newweek, and Entrepreuner, sharing knowledge in business, marketing, and all things horticulture. Tammy also belongs to a host of horticulture societies, including the MNLA, American Horticulture Society, Perennial Organization, Middle TN Nursery Association, and more.
She is also involved in philanthropic activities, including educational outreach programs and partnerships with local conservation groups, to foster ecological awareness and stewardship among future generations.
From growing up in a small town to operating a thriving national business, Tammy considers herself a blessed person to be able to stay on her farm and work where she lives. She has also helped provide many jobs to local people, as well as a host of other remote people, to help run TN Nursery effectively.
