Hay Scented Fern
The Hay Scented fern has lacey fronds and grows in an arching pattern. They also smell like fresh-cut hay, making them one of the only ferns that is scented. The fern grows one to three feet in height and the same width as well when mature.
The latin name is Dennstaedtia Punctilobula and the plant is a vibrant light green in color come Spring time when the fronds are produced on the fern plant. The tops die back each winter and this is referred to as dormancy. They come back each early spring with a display of delicate fronds.
