Planting a tree can have meaning
Sunday, July 24
Have you ever thought about planting a tree? Planting a tree can be fun and exciting for all ages and can also have many different reasons behind it.
For example, we have all struggled through the loss of a loved one, have you ever thought about planting a tree in their honor?
Who hasn’t lost a family pet or animal, have you ever thought of planting a tree in honor of them?
Who hasn’t had a birthday? Who hasn’t had an anniversary? Who has celebrated a birth? There are so many reasons to plant a tree in honor of someone, in celebration of something – planting a tree can be fun and exciting so why not get the whole family involved?
When it comes to planting a tree most people get upset and frustrated and yes, most kids get discouraged and upset at the dreadful thought of being outside in the heat digging a large hole to place a tree into. But, by doing it in celebration of or honor of someone/something it makes the hard work a lot more enjoyable and the heat and sweat a lot more endurable.
So the next time your family is struggling with the loss of a pet or loved one, allow them to plant a tree in honor of them. The next time someone’s birthday comes around, why not plant a tree so that next year you can be amazed at how much it has grown in just one year’s time. So why not plant a tree? You can not only help yourself get over a difficult time or reward but also help out the environment at the same time.
