Save Money With Xeriscaping

Xeriscaping, also called xero gardening, is a good landscaping plan in many different situations. It is at home in dry areas, areas that need to look landscaped but will not receive much attention and for those on a budget. Plants that tend to do well in xeriscape environments are cacti, succulents, native plants and native grasses. You do have quite a few categories to choose from. It does not have to be all rocks and cacti.

Easy to maintain

Xeriscaping plants tend to be long-lived on a short supply of water. It doesn't mean, however, that they never need to be watered. That will be determined by your local climate. But they will need significantly less water than any other traditional landscaping style. Both Broom Sedge and Yuccas are both good contenders for xeriscaping. Find them in our mail order nursery.
