The Wild Cherry tree is a native deciduous tree that grows from the Southern Portions of Canada to some in Central America. This tree can grow around fifty feet tall, but some trees can be found growing as high as one hundred feet. This tree blooms in the spring with small white clusters of flowers. These flowers later produce small berries, which contain, a seed that can be poisonous and produces cyanide which will kill many animals. The Wild Cherry Trees fruit (not the Seeds) can be used in foods and drinks. This tree grows best in moist, well-drained soils and can grow in different soils as long as enough moisture is available.
