Shade Perennials In Gardening
You want your garden to be beautiful. You want it to look so stunning; people take notice as they drive by. You want your landscaping to bring you joy as you look upon it.
All of these things are understandable. It's normal to want to cultivate beauty in your life. Planting and working with nature can be a soothing balm to the soul, one that is a nice change of pace from the hectic frenzy that is modern life.
Gardening isn't always as peachy keen as we'd like it to be though. Not everyone has a yard full of sun and perfect soil. We may have many beautiful trees that cast our yard in the shade. While this is nice for those times you want to sit in your favorite rocker and sip on lemonade, it does make planting a bit more complicated.
But, with a little creativity, it doesn't have to.
There are plenty of shade-loving perennials that will add spice and beauty to your landscape. Many novice gardeners aren't aware of this. They may be under the impression that every plant out there loves the sun and needs hours and hours a day in its path to soak it all up.
While the vast majority of plants do need the gentle fingers of the sun on them most of the time, this isn't true for all plants. There are some perennials which love the coolness of the shade. They will grow and thrive in those shady areas of the yard, so you don't have to worry about bare patches.
Best of all, because they're perennials, you won't have to spend hours every spring replanting. Plant once and they'll be sure to come back, year after year. It's a great treat to see them blooming come spring and a beautiful reminder of the newness of life.
Now that you know the hidden potential the shaded areas of your yard holds have fun choosing beautiful plants to fill them!
