Red Maple Live Stakes Description

Red Maple Live Stakes

Red maple live stakes and Acer rubrum are famous for their vibrant color-changing feature.

It is botanically named Acer rubrum with familiar names like soft maple, water maple, and swamp maple. These are the native plants of North America and are planted worldwide. They are mostly found growing in wetlands, water gardens, and near lakes, streams, or ponds and perform better in urban than rural areas.

It is a large tree that gains a trunk spread of 25 - 35 inches with a height of 40 - 60 feet near its age of maturity. In favorable conditions, they are very fast-growing trees and can increase their height to 2 - 3 feet in a year.

The natural growth of the roots needs ample space in garden soils. The tree's earliest blooming and growing seasons are Summers and Spring, especially from May to October, while the color-changing seasons are Fall and winter.

Red Maple Live Stakes thrives in well-drained, medium to wet soil, lands with constant moisture (like rain gardens), and hardy zones from 3 to 9

The stakes' bark is stiff, smooth, and grey, while the small and new stems are green. The leaves that arise from the side of the stems and branches are bright green, soft, and grow to 2 - 7 inches in size. The leaves enhance the tree's beauty from their bright green color (in a warm climate) to several pretty colors (from Fall to winter). It changes its colors from green to shiny orange (in the Fall), vibrant, appealing bright red (late Fall to winter), and then yellow (in winter). The leaves and immature green stems also change their color to lush red.

New leaves appear every summer and spring. During spring, tiny red buds appear on the ends of the stems, and red flowers bloom from these buds. Red maple live stakes grow in a wide range of lands and can tolerate most soil conditions. The tree thrives in well-drained, medium to wet soil, lands with constant moisture (like rain gardens), and hardy zones from 3 to 9.

The best growth of the tree happens in full sun or partial shade. It can grow in any soil type and sunlight but appreciates full sun in wet soils. With its massive height, the tree provides soothing shade in the scorching sun and makes shady areas for the plants that need shade to grow.

They can control air pollution, and that's why it is widely planted in populated urban areas in the Eastern United States. You can find these stakes for sale used in maple syrup and are disease-resistant, pest-free plants.

Unlike other plants, the tree stands out because it has only colorful foliage and dense red-colored leaves and stems in winters. The strong branches provide shelter to birds, and the strength of the roots helps control soil erosion. It is an affordable and low-maintenance option to buy this tree to transform your landscaping and home garden.
