Lotus Pink- Nymphaea

The Pink Lotus in Your Garden
The Pink Lotus is a gorgeous aquatic perennial that is most commonly cultivated in water gardens. For generations, it has been credited for its remarkable traits and its significance and symbolism in ancient religions such as Buddhism. While being an astonishingly beautiful flower, this exotic plant is surprisingly easy to grow. The flower sprouts in the spring, blooms during the summer and autumn and then becomes dormant in the winter season. When the petals and stamens fall off, the receptacle is left with developing seeds that are able to sprout and multiply the following year. They come in a range of hybrids, offering a variety of petal colors such as white, yellow and of course, pink shades, all sporting a bright yellow core. Therefore, there is always a version of the flower to suit every situation. Additionally, they look wonderful in a water garden by themselves and are also visually pleasing with plants such as other types of water lilies. Furthermore, one can grow this plant in many ways, from pots on a patio, ponds and earth lakes in your backyard; therefore, they can be easily integrated to enhance the aesthetics of your garden. Whatever manner utilized, the Pink Lotus can be an especially alluring addition to your plant collection.

Pond Lily plants can add life to any pond or lake. They love growing in moist areas with rich soil conditions. These lilies grow up several inches above the surface of the water. They typically bloom in the spring months. They attract frogs and dragonflies to your pond or lake. Frogs love playing on these great water plants. The blossoms will open during the day and close up at night.
