Tiki Time

Do you enjoy sitting outdoors in the evening? Tiki torches add a vacation atmosphere as well as keep mosquitoes at bay. Made from bamboo and often containing citronella, they make for a nice evening under the stars without getting bitten to death.

Tiki torches are an adaption from the Polynesian culture. Interestingly, more than one flower is nicknamed the tiki torch. Both canna compacta, a perennial originally from South America and Tillandsia which is related to the bromeliad, are also known as tiki torches. The blackberry lily, another perennial, can be found among our perennials.
