Fresh produce you grew with your own hand is great. Fresh produce you grew with your own hand dipped in chocolate is even better.
Chocolate dipped cherries are a creative way to use the produce from your garden. It's an easy dish that looks much harder than it is.
Cut a small hole in each cherry to remove the pit. The hole will be hidden by the chocolate. If you chose to leave the stem on, you have a handy dipping stick. If not, use a spoon to dip the cherries in melted chocolate chips. Directions for melting are on the package. Let the cherries set on a cookie sheet or wax paper til they are solid. For a quicker method, put them in the freezer for about two minutes and they'll be solid fairly instantly. Enjoy. Red Summer, Bing and Black Tartarian cherries are available in our Fruit Tree Nursery.
