2-1/2 cups Original Bisquick mix
2/3 cup milk
Grated peel of 1 lemon
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
2 tablespoons sugar (or decorating sugar)
1 pint (12 oz) fresh blackberries
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
Whipped cream for garnish
How to prepare
First heat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
Second stir the Bisquick mix, your three tablespoons of sugar, lemon peel, and butter until soft dough forms from the mixture.
Third get a no greased pan and drop six spoonfuls of dough then sprinkle some sugar on top using the two tablespoons of sugar.
Forth bake until golden brown which should take at least 10-12 minutes
Fifth as the dough bakes you will need to take a 1-quart saucepan then mix some sugar and water next put them on the stove at medium until it becomes a water solution don’t forget to stir now and then take it off the stove and add blackberries next you will need to stir the mixture.
Six cut shortcakes in half and fill with blackberries and then put tops on and dab on some whipped cream and don’t forget about the extra blackberries.
