Meet Toxorhynchites also known as a mosquito hawk. Strange that it can be one of the largest mosquitoes in existence, but not one of the most painful. Interestingly, the oil from the sassafras tree can be used as a mosquito repellant. Look for the sassafras tree in our tree nursery.
