What if Tn Nursery has a zone finder where you can type in your zip code, and our geo zone tool automatically finds trees perfect for your growing zone. We have such a tool, and it works with the USDA zone map.
What is a Zone Map?
The USDA has created a growing guide for each region of the United States called the USDA Hardiness Zone Map. To develop the map, the USDA Agricultural Research Service and Oregon State University – PRISM Climate Group gathered information from horticulturist and climate experts throughout North America. As a result of the research, the map separates the United States into eleven specific planting zones calibrated by the average winter temperature. Each region is defined by its winter temperature being 10°F warmer or colder than its neighboring zone.
What Is a Zone Finder?
Tn Nursery has a zone finder where you can type in your zip code, and our geo zone tool automatically finds trees perfect for your growing zone.
A zone finder is a valuable tool used by Tn Nursery that shows where landscape trees and other plants have the best opportunity to adapt and survive. If you want your new tree to thrive and grow, the tree must be able to endure the climate and seasonal conditions year after year. Things to be considered when using this tool is temperature deviations, growing period, and rainfall amounts and distributions for the growing area.
