Blackberries grow well in Tennessee and are a good choice for your southern home garden.
Whether you eat blackberries right after picking, or if you cook them, they are nutritious and delicious!
Blackberries are ornamental as well. White flowers appear in late spring. The berries change in color as they ripen, starting as green, changing to red and then a purple| black color.
Blackberries do best in fertile, well-drained soil and prefer full sun.
Black Raspberries are another Tennessee favorite. Native to the area, this hardy perennial produces generous quantities of black-colored raspberries in late Spring and early Summer.
