White Oak – Quercus Alba

You¡¦ll find them stretched along many major highways and right-of-ways across the U.S.  This trees bark is a crumbly grey which is very similar to the white oak and it can grow up to 70 feet. It can live anywhere from 100 years to 350 long years well past our lifetime. It can withstand the sun¡¦s high temperatures and is just as long standing in the shade.  It produces the acorn fruit which is popular to eat amongst the squirrels ducks deer black bear and the like. Mammals and birds find this tree favorable against some of the natural elements.

    Oak trees make such great shade trees, they grow to be so huge. I can not wait for these to become full grown.
