What if it's not a dog, but a deer that is driving you crazy? Well, you could get a dog. But what if the deer just don't care? Some people spray their plants with hot sauce at a rate of 3 teaspoons per gallon of water. Others say deer have no sense of heat in their taste buds so this doesn't work. Try an experiment of your own.

Other people hang old cds or tin foil in their garden as the flashing of the silvery material will startle the deer. However, they can get used to it, so you must move them around to keep the deer away permanently. Finally, you could try growing plants that deer don't generally seem to like. Those include ornamental grasses, bee balm and russian sage. Branched mulhy, an ornamental grass, can be found in our mail order catalog.
