Trout Lily plants are just beautiful when they are in bloom. These plants have small flowers that resemble an upside down bells with yellow centers. They show theirs best during the months of April and May. This plant loves to be in moist soils and also in fully shaded areas and gardens. It can reach to be up to six inches, and these perennials will come back fuller each year as new plants will appear. They are amazing when planted in climate zones two through eight. These plants may not bloom within the first five years of being planted. These plants also go dormant during the middle of summer each year.
