There are many things you can do with fresh flowers like growing them in a garden, flower bed, or cutting them and putting them in a vase. Two of the best types of flowers to cut and display in a vase are carnations and dahlias. The best kinds of flowers to grow in a garden or flower bed are annuals, perennials, biennials, and bulbs. Annuals are good because they add a beautiful color and smell to your garden they also have longer blooming periods than perennials but the down side is that they only last once  a year. Perennials are good because they can live three growing seasons they the downside is that they need very well drained soil. Biennials are good because they live for two years the downside is that the first year that they live they don’t bloom. Adding bulbs to your garden will surely make it a beauty the good things about bulbs is that they will last a very long time and will add a dramatic burst of color to your garden but the only down side is that they need well drained soil.
