The Swamp Chestnut Oak is a large variety of oak tree that is sure to please. It grows best in USDA zones seven through ten and can be upwards of one hundred and twenty feet tall when it is fully grown. The spread on this tree can be almost seventy feet, and it will need a full sunlight environment to thrive. This tree also enjoys soils that are silt or clay in their compositions. This tree is also called Quercus Michaeuxii. The acorns this tree produces are quite large, and the local wildlife will love having this extra food source around.
