Low maintenance perennial plants are a great option for cost effective landscaping. There are some perennial plants that need less maintenance and care as compared to the other plants. If the basic requirements are met then these plants grow well and need less attention.

Low maintenance plants include species that require less frequent watering and fertilizing. However, they do require occasional cutbacks and deadheading. If you keep dividing them in a couple of years they will grow with vigor and transform your garden with colorful flowers.
