Solomon’s Plume is a beautiful plant when in bloom. It blooms in May and June and is a wonderful perennial. It grows to be up to three feet tall and has a lovely plume growing from the plant. It is covered with small stems of tiny white flowers which change to berries during the fall. Birds love this plant. It does excellent in a full and partial shade and can also grow in sandy and clay soils. It also likes soils that are moist and well drained. Prefers to be planted in climate zones three through eight. This plant produces more plants each year from the root system that it produces.
