The nannyberry is a beautiful, full-bodied shrub that is native to the United States and Canada. Growing upwards of nine feet, the nannyberry is often considered to be a small tree. With it's short, sienna-colored trunk and smooth green leaves, the nannyberry bears flowering clusters of ivory-colored buds. Known for it's beauty throughout each season, the nannyberry's fruit is considered to be edible, and has been utilized in a number of Native American sacraments and remedies. The nannyberry grows best in damp environments, and flourishes in extreme cold temperatures and partial sunlight. The nannyberry is often utilized to decorate local parks.
