Acer Sacaharum is a species native to the forests of North America from Western Nova Scotia to Southern Ontario, and South to Georgia and Texas. The tree can reach from 82 to 115 feet high. After five years you can expect the tree to grow to approximately 15 feet. Closely associated with the Black Maple and often confused with the Norway Maple, this trees beauty really stands out in a crowd. It is also among the most shade tolerant of the large deciduous trees and also is a very important producer of sap for Canada.
