Green Ash Seedlings will grow into very popular trees. They do grow quite quickly at a rate of 3 feet or more per year and reach a mature height of around 70 feet. These trees have a canopy spread of 40 feet or more, making it a wonderful shade tree. It is a deciduous tree, which means it will lose its foliage in the autumn after a beautiful showing of bright yellow leaves. These trees do best in climate zones 3 through 9 and prefer moist, fertile soils with proper drainage. They also love full sunshine. The scientific name for this tree is Fraxinus Pennsylvanica. It is native to the eastern and central portions of North America. These trees do produce blooms in spring however they are not very obvious and have no petals.
