Most of the people refrain from indulging in garden activities because they do not have ample space. However; it is important to know that there are many plants, ferns and vegetables that can be grown in limited space giving you the freedom of trying out new things.
Container gardening is an ideal option for people who do not have a large garden. Plants can be grown in containers and pots easily. You can place the containers indoors as well if the plant varieties can tolerate partial shade conditions. You can utilize the extra space in your balcony by putting beautiful potted plants. Many varieties of cactus plants and succulents can be planted in containers to save space.
Hanging baskets can be used for porches and patios. You can grow many fern varieties and flowering plants in hanging baskets. Apart from this, you can even plant aromatic herbs in smaller pots and place them on the window sills of your kitchen. Herbs like Basil, Thyme, Rosemary, Coriander, Sage, etc. look fresh and amazing sitting on the window of your kitchen.
Vegetables can be grown in tubs and large containers in the backyard. You can grow many varieties together that do not occupy a lot of space. Vegetables like Tomatoes, Lettuce, Potatoes, Radish, Carrots, Spinach, Brocolli, etc are ideal for container gardening.
Small area outside the house can be adorned with vertically growing plants. Such plants do not need a lot of space as they grow in vertical direction. Climbers like Clematis, Hydrangea Vine, Irish Ivy, Climbing Roses, etc can be planted. These plants grow upwards taking support of a wall making minimal use of available space.
