Crows: The Good, the Bad and the Loud
Tuesday, January 11
Are you a crow lover or a crow hater? Most people feel very strongly about these birds. Whether it's the sound, their large size or the damage they do in the blink of an eye to crops, lots of folks hate them. Others love to hear them calling to each other and may even try to match the call themselves.
Crows are thought to be one of the most intelligent birds in the world and will actually respond back to humans who mimic their calls much more so than other species. They are also fun to watch on windy days if you can find a playful bunch who swooshes down out of the air all at once on air currents obviously enjoying playing roller coaster in the middle of the sky. Crow's poison, a white flower also known as false garlic, is available among our wetland plants.
