Blake's Pride Pear Pie
You will need:
- 1 Recipe Pastry for A 9 Double Crust Pie
- 5 Cups of Peeled and Sliced Pears
- 3 Tbsp. All-Purpose Flour
- 1 Tbsp. Butter
- 1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
- 1 tsp. Lemon Zest
- 1/2 Cup of White Sugar
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
Mix lemon zest salt flour sugar and cinnamon in bowl. Put pears in layers in pastry lined pan. Sprinkle sugar over each layer. Dot with butter. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Roll out rest of dough. Cut slits so steam can escape. Moisten rim of bottom crust. Put top crust over filling. Fold edge under bottom crust. Press to seal. Flute edge. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Lower temperature to 350 degrees and bake for 35-40 more minutes.
